Calling all Highland Park Elementary students and families! Lace up your sneakers and get ready to hit the pavement for National Walk to School Day! On October 4th, 2023, our community will join thousands of schools across the country to celebrate the benefits of walking to school.

National Walk to School Day is not only a chance for students to embrace a healthier lifestyle, but it also promotes increased pedestrian safety, reduced traffic congestion, and a sense of community among families.

Whether you live just a few blocks away or further, everyone at Highland Park Elementary is encouraged to participate in this fabulous event. For those who live too far to walk the entire way, consider parking a little further from the school and walking from there. Every step counts!
